Junior Administrator

YourRecruit

Are you an organised and detail-focused administrator looking for an opportunity to build your career within a technical and growing business?

We are working with our client to recruit a Junior Airtime Administrator to join a busy admin team, supporting with billing, provisioning, customer queries and general administration. This is a great opportunity for someone with around 6 months’ experience in an administrative, billing, finance, customer service or similar environment, who is keen to learn and develop their knowledge of systems and processes.

You don’t need to have previous airtime or telecoms experience – what’s important is that you’re numerate, confident using Excel, have good attention to detail and are genuinely interested in learning how products and services work and how they translate into billing.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm (hybrid offering after initial 6 months probation)
Location: Redhill

Benefits: Competitive salary, 25 days’ holiday, plus a pension scheme and health benefits.

What will you be doing?

Initially, there will be plenty of training and learning as you get to know the company, its products, services and systems. You will then become increasingly involved in:

  • Processing activations, deactivations and package changes
  • Supporting billing and provisioning requests
  • Checking customer accounts, billing profiles and rates
  • Assisting with monthly billing processes and invoice validation
  • Carrying out regular checks to identify errors or unprocessed orders
  • Responding to customer queries and resolving issues through to completion
  • Managing tickets through the internal ticketing system
  • Processing prepay voucher orders, invoices and deliveries
  • Updating systems accurately and maintaining customer information
  • Liaising with other internal departments to ensure requests are completed correctly and on time

The role is approximately 70% process-driven administration and 30% investigation/problem-solving, so accuracy, organisation and the ability to spot when something doesn’t look right will be important.

About you…

Our client is looking for someone who is:

  • Ideally experienced in administration, billing, finance, order processing, customer service or a similar environment
  • Numerate and confident working with figures
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate level
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • A confident communicator, both written and verbally
  • Comfortable working with systems and learning new software
  • Naturally curious and keen to understand how things work
  • Reliable, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information

Previous experience within technology, telecoms or billing would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.

What’s on offer?

This is a newly created role within a supportive four-person Airtime team, where you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.

There is a clear progression route from Junior Airtime Administrator to Billing Administrator, with further development opportunities depending on your interests and performance.

If you are someone who enjoys working with systems, figures and processes, takes pride in getting things right and wants to develop within a specialist area, this could be a great next step.
