Junior Finance Administrator
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £25,000 per annum (increasing after probation)
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a busy, fast-growing service provider based in central Bournemouth. Well-known for their great workplace culture, and genuine commitment to staff wellbeing, they are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Finance Administrator to join their team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a hands-on role in supporting daily financial operations, statement reconciliations, and sales ledger processing.
If you bring a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a positive, practical attitude, this role offers an ideal step to kickstart or build your career in corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Invoice Processing - Log incoming supplier invoices received via post and email, checking details accurately against operational records.
- Discrepancy Resolution - Spot and investigate billing errors between invoices and internal data, clearing up issues quickly with internal teams.
- Purchase Order Administration - Process purchase orders and additional costs in the internal system to keep client billing accurate.
- Supplier Statement Reconciliation - Reconcile supplier accounts, work out payment runs, spot mistakes, and contact suppliers directly about missing paperwork.
- Data Entry & System Updates - Input accurate invoice data into core Sage accounting software, keeping records clear and up to date.
- General Office Administration - Handle daily administrative duties, digital filing, and secure paperwork disposal.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:
- Relevant Experience - Prior experience in a finance, data-entry, or general office administration role.
- Numeracy & Accuracy - Strong attention to detail with a natural comfort working with numbers and figures.
- Communication Skills - A clear, friendly approach when speaking with suppliers and colleagues.
- Organisational Ability - Good time-management skills with the ability to handle daily paperwork and keep on top of tasks.
- Software Literacy - Confident using Microsoft Office. (Knowledge of Sage or FileMaker is a bonus, but full training on their systems will be given).
