As our furniture offering continues to grow, we're looking for a Junior Furniture Project Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in furniture project management and gain hands-on experience delivering furniture packages across a wide range of commercial office fit-out projects.
You'll work closely with experienced Project Managers and talented colleagues across design, pre-construction, commercial, procurement and project delivery, gaining exposure to every stage of the furniture project lifecycle.
The Role
As a Junior Furniture Project Manager, you'll support the delivery of furniture packages from design sign-off through to installation and final handover. You'll help coordinate suppliers, manage programmes and procurement schedules, track budgets and support the smooth delivery of installations across multiple projects.
This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who is organised, commercially aware and keen to develop their project management skills within the workplace and commercial interiors sector.
You'll have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for your own furniture packages while working alongside experienced team members who will support your development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of furniture packages through the project lifecycle, from design sign-off through to installation and handover.
- Assist with the preparation and management of furniture programmes, procurement schedules and installation plans.
- Coordinate with Design, Commercial, Procurement and Project Delivery teams to ensure furniture requirements are delivered efficiently.
- Build positive working relationships with furniture manufacturers, suppliers, installers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with furniture procurement, including obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders and tracking supplier orders.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and variations, escalating any issues to the relevant Project Manager.
- Coordinate furniture deliveries, storage, logistics and installation requirements.
- Assist with client communication and attend project meetings where required.
- Carry out site visits with senior team members to monitor progress, quality and installation standards.
- Help identify and resolve issues quickly to minimise delays to the programme.
- Support the coordination of installation teams and ensure works are carried out safely and in line with site requirements.
- Assist with snagging, completion and project handover.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules and procurement information.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Take increasing ownership of furniture packages as your experience and confidence develop.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to build a career in furniture project management.
You may already have experience within commercial furniture, office fit-out, interiors, procurement, design coordination, project coordination or furniture sales, and be looking to take the next step into a project management position.
You'll ideally have:
- 1–2 years' experience within the commercial furniture, interiors, fit-out or construction sector.
- An understanding of furniture procurement, suppliers, logistics and installation.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to your work.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A willingness to learn and develop your project management skills.
- Basic commercial awareness and an interest in managing project costs and budgets.
- A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach.
- The confidence to communicate with suppliers, colleagues and clients.
- A genuine interest in workplace furniture, design and commercial interiors.
