Description

  • Review trading reports to identify risks and opportunities in weekly trade and present findings to Merchandiser & Senior Merchandiser.
  • Ownership of line cards, providing accurate forward forecasting and planning OTB in line with stock holding and cover targets, highlighting any risks with over/understocks.
  • Support the merchandiser on maintaining department WSSIs, stock and sales plans, ensuring stock is managed to targets.
  • Partake in the analysis & reporting of current sales data, customers reactions and channel trends in order to anticipate product needs and plan future ranges & stock.
  • Help build & maintain a comprehensive library of historical data.
  • Work to Key Performance Indicators helping to optimise the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas according to the business plans.
  • Actively involved in MD proposals for categories as necessary including the roll-up of mid and end-of-season sale plans.
  • Collaboratively work with the wider Merchandising, Operations & Logistics teams to ensure timely onboarding & arrival of stock with our various partners.
  • Proactively monitor sales and stock in order to take action to optimise sales and margin performance - ensuring team react to sales trend.

Profile

A successful Junior Merchandiser should have:

  • Experience in a merchandising at Assistant Merchandiser, Senior Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser or related retail role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software.
  • An understanding of the retail industry and stock management principles.

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000 per year, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Hybrid working arrangements for better work-life balance.
  • Permanent position based in Leeds.
