About the Role
A well-established law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its experienced and supportive Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or junior solicitor to develop their career while working with a broad range of clients on a variety of private client matters.
The successful candidate will manage an appropriate caseload with supervision and support, provide clear and practical legal advice, and contribute to delivering a high standard of client service.
This role would suit an organised, approachable solicitor who is keen to develop their technical knowledge and confidence within a busy and supportive private client practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing an appropriate caseload of private client matters with supervision and support.
- Advising clients on wills, estate planning, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence and attendance notes accurately and effectively.
- Building strong client relationships and providing a professional, empathetic and efficient service.
- Maintaining accurate files and records in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider firm.
- Supporting marketing and business development activities where appropriate.
- Developing external relationships and identifying opportunities for new work.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, ideally NQ-2 years' PQE, with experience or a strong interest in Private Client work.
You will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good time-management and case-management abilities.
- A professional and client-focused approach.
- A genuine interest in developing a career within Private Client law.
Previous experience in wills, probate, estate administration, trusts or powers of attorney would be advantageous, although candidates who are enthusiastic about developing within this area are also encouraged to apply.
