An excellent opportunity for a Junior Process Engineer to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: £27,000 Per Annum.

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday: 08:00AM to 17:00PM - Friday: 08:00AM to 13:00PM.

About The Role:

Responsible for configuring and optimising manufacturing processes for existing production and N.P.I. projects.

The role requires adaptability encompassing Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing aspects.

Designing and documenting process controls and instructions, introducing in-line production aids and quality checks to meet or improve process through-put requirements.

Key Duties:

Create process documentation and operating instructions

Provide training and coaching to process operators

Responsible for helping to source new manufacturing equipment and bring into production (Incorporating fixture design & manufacture, CNC & Robot programming, hands on machining experience is desirable)

Support NPI processes (PPAP)

Setting up BOM’s & BOO’s on ERP system

Support non-conformance investigation’s

Design and implement packaging instructions.

Occasionally design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes (incorporating data collection & analysis)

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

Understanding of engineering principles, machining and fabrication

3D & 2D cad skills (SolidWorks)

Demonstrates an understanding Engineering Drawings and specifications

Appreciation of jig/ fixtures and tool design and product cost structure

Possess good communication skills both written and verbal together with report writing skills. Accuracy and clarity essential

Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to achieve targets and objectives

Understands electronic exchange of information

Demonstrates an ability to work as part of a team and committed to total customer satisfaction

Desirable:

Proven work experience in process engineering

Knowledge of process related standards

Familiarity with health and safety regulations

Analytical thinker with good interpersonal skills

Hands on experience of machining (Milling and/or turning) (and CNC programming long hand or CAM)

Hands on experience of press brake forming (and programming)

Hands on experience of Laser cutting (and programming)

Qualification & Experience:

Good basic education in Maths and English

Qualification in Engineering (HNC or above) or time served experience in production engineering role

PC Literate, including Word &Excel
