We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing sports equipment company, designing and supplying a broad range of own-brand training equipment alongside officially licensed merchandise for major football clubs, national teams, and global entertainment brands. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Junior Product Manager to support product strategy and development across own-brand and licensed ranges, working closely with design, sourcing, marketing, and e-commerce teams to help bring products to market.

The successful candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised, and keen to develop their skills in licensing relationships and product development, within a fast-paced, growing consumer goods business.

Key Responsibilities for a Junior Product Manager:

  • Support the product roadmap for allocated categories, from concept through to launch
  • Assist in managing relationships with licensing partners (sports clubs, leagues, and entertainment brands) to help develop compliant, on-brand product ranges
  • Work closely with design and sourcing teams to support new product development and improve existing ranges
  • Help analyse sales performance and market trends to inform product decisions
  • Support the e-commerce team to ensure products are effectively represented and merchandised online
  • Assist with product lifecycle administration, including range reviews and new product introductions
  • Help prepare concepts, mock-ups and product decks for internal sign-off, licensor approval and retailer presentations
  • Support liaison with factories on product specifications, technical drawings, pre-production samples, and packaging proofs

Key Skills for a Junior Product Manager:

  • Some experience in a product, buying, merchandising or similar role, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or FMCG/consumer goods
  • Interest in or exposure to licensed product ranges or brand partnerships would be an advantage
  • Good commercial awareness, with an interest in developing skills in product costing, margin and pricing
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills, confident working with internal teams
  • Comfortable using e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify) and working with product data
  • A genuine interest in sport and sports merchandise would be a strong advantage
