If you enjoy a hands-on engineering environment and want to develop your machining and manufacturing skills alongside CAD design, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you'll split your time between the engineering office, production floor and machine shop, supporting the introduction of new products and improving manufacturing processes.

You'll be involved in:

  • Designing jigs, fixtures and production tooling using SolidWorks
  • Supporting new product introduction from concept through to production
  • Producing manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process information
  • Working alongside production teams to trial and introduce new equipment
  • Assisting with continuous improvement projects across manufacturing
  • Supporting engineering data and production information
  • Learning toolmaking techniques within the machine shop
  • Manufacturing tooling using engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Providing day-to-day engineering support across production

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong CAD skills, ideally using SolidWorks
  • A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm to learn
  • Confidence working both independently and within a team
Desirable
  • Experience using manual machine tools such as mills or lathes
  • CNC or machining knowledge
  • Experience creating jigs, fixtures or production tooling

If you're looking for a role where you can develop into a well-rounded mechanical engineer and gain experience across design, manufacturing and production engineering, we'd love to hear from you.
