Junior Mechanical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – MEP
Location: London – office based with occasional site visits
Salary: £35,000–£42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Shero Talent is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Estimator or Junior Quantity Surveyor with previous MEP experience to join our client’s team in London.
This opportunity would suit someone looking to develop their estimating or quantity surveying career within mechanical building services.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing mechanical estimates, tenders and cost plans.
- Review drawings and specifications and carry out material take-offs.
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Support project cost tracking, valuations and variations.
- Attend occasional site visits to assess requirements and monitor progress.
- Work closely with the commercial and project delivery teams.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous MEP experience is essential.
- Some experience in mechanical estimating or quantity surveying.
- An understanding of mechanical building services, including plumbing, heating and HVAC.
- Strong numerical skills, attention to detail and confidence using Excel.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A relevant qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous.
