Due to continued growth and an increase in customer projects, our client is looking to recruit Junior Quality Inspector to join their expanding Quality team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

Working within the Quality department, you'll be responsible for inspecting manufactured components to ensure they meet the required quality standards before reaching the customer.

This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, reliable and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out visual inspection of manufactured components against quality standards
  • Identify cosmetic defects including scratches, damage, discolouration and aesthetic imperfections
  • Count and accurately record defects and inspection results
  • Record serial numbers and inspection data using Microsoft Excel
  • Use basic inspection equipment including thread gauges and occasional calipers
  • Handle components weighing up to 10-11kg throughout the working day
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain product quality standards

We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production or inspection would be advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify visual defects
  • Good eyesight and colour perception (visual assessments form part of the interview process)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong team player with a reliable work ethic
  • Physically able to handle components weighing up to 10-11kg throughout the day

An interest in Automotive, Engineering or Motorsport would be beneficial but is not essential.

No previous experience with engineering drawings, GD&T or advanced metrology equipment is required, as full training will be provided.
