BLW Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded Cambridge college to recruit a talented Junior Sous Chef.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef to step into a key role within a professional, well-structured kitchen, offering exposure to a wide range of dining—from student meals to formal events.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and develop junior team members
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene
  • Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
  • Lead the kitchen in the Sous Chef’s absence

About You

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef (must be able to cook from scratch and have worked in a high volume environment)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum
  • Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Experience with overseeing junior chefs
