BLW Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded Cambridge college to recruit a talented Junior Sous Chef.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef to step into a key role within a professional, well-structured kitchen, offering exposure to a wide range of dining—from student meals to formal events.
The Role
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and develop junior team members
- Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
- Lead the kitchen in the Sous Chef’s absence
About You
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef (must be able to cook from scratch and have worked in a high volume environment)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum
- Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Experience with overseeing junior chefs
