Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Key Account Director to lead the successful delivery of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services for a major government contract.

This role is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services across multiple service lines, including Cleaning, Technical, Catering, Security, Workplace Experience, Helpdesk, Mailroom, Waste, Pest Control, Landscaping and Projects.

Job Description

Reporting to the Key Account Portfolio Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the contract, ensuring service excellence, compliance and strong commercial performance.

You will work closely with customer representatives, operational teams and supply chain partners to deliver contractual commitments, drive continuous improvement and maximise value for the customer.

We are looking for a strategic and operational leader who can implement account commitments, drive continuous improvement, and empower teams to create value for the customer while ensuring retention and maximising commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to service leads and indirect leadership to operational teams and the supply chain.
  • Implement account bid commitments and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Act as the operational and tactical lead, maintaining strong relationships with customer representatives.
  • Manage financial performance across all service lines.
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest HSEQ standards and compliance at all levels.
  • Maintain statutory compliance across all services at all times.
  • Oversee key financial metrics, including revenue, margin, cash collection, work in progress, unbilled amounts and accruals.
  • Present monthly contractual and operational management information and drive KPI performance.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • Essential experience managing a Total Facilities Management (TFM) account.
  • Strong budgeting, financial management and reporting capabilities.
  • Resilient with the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Strong influencing skills with a natural leadership style.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • High learning agility and the ability to apply insight gained from experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement innovative solutions and confidently lead meetings and presentations.
