£35,000 - £45,000 + Commission + Company Car
Location: Doncaster / Remote / National Travel
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced account manager who wants to step into a role with an established customer base, strong existing relationships and significant revenue already on the table.
You won’t be starting from zero. You’ll inherit a large portfolio of existing customers, including a number of high-profile, high-value accounts, giving you an immediate platform from which to develop and grow the business.
The role is centred around retaining key clients, maintaining excellent service levels and identifying opportunities to increase turnover within your existing accounts. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio, build relationships with senior stakeholders and develop structured account plans to maximise the value of each customer.
With a clear growth target, strong operational support and uncapped commission, this role offers the opportunity to earn significantly while working with some of the business’s most important customers.

Responsibilities of a Key Account Manager:
- Take ownership of a large, established portfolio of existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of retention, satisfaction and service
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers across high-value accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, building trusted and long-lasting relationships
- Develop structured account plans focused on retention, growth, cross-selling and long-term partnership
- Identify opportunities to increase turnover within existing accounts
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across your customer base
- Monitor account performance and take proactive action where there is a risk to retention or service levels
- Work with clients to understand their evolving requirements and develop solutions that add value
- Manage and resolve client issues professionally and promptly, working with internal teams to ensure they are fully addressed
- Provide regular updates to clients on service performance and account activity
- Maintain accurate account information and activity within the CRM
- Manage contract renewals and extensions, ensuring commercial terms remain accurate and up to date
- Support commercial negotiations in line with company guidelines
- Produce regular internal updates on account status, performance and opportunities
- Work closely with internal account management and support teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and delivered
- Travel nationally to meet customers, attend meetings and strengthen key relationships
Requirements of a Key Account Manager:
- A proven track record of managing and growing existing key accounts
- Experience dealing with senior stakeholders and high-value customers
- Strong commercial awareness, with a track record of identifying and converting growth opportunities
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- A proactive, consultative approach to account management
- Strong organisational and account-planning skills
- The ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities and stakeholders effectively
- Experience managing client issues and working collaboratively with internal teams
- Confidence working independently and travelling nationally when required
- A Full UK Driving Licence
