Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistants to work within school environments. The role involves supporting the catering team in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes and equipment
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
• Support cooks and catering staff during busy service periods
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
• Adhere to allergen awareness and food safety guidelines
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the Update Service (essential)
  or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS through our agency
• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Food Allergens (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Safeguarding Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality
