Position: KS1 Primary Teacher
Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a KS1 Primary Teacher, you will teach pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 depending on the requirements of schools throughout Retford. Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term assignments.

The KS1 Primary Teacher role would suit an experienced teacher or Early Career Teacher who enjoys working with younger pupils and wants the flexibility to experience different primary schools across Retford.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS and KS1 where appropriate
• Support pupils' early learning and development
• Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
• Establish positive classroom routines
• Manage behaviour effectively and consistently
• Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Previous primary teaching experience
• Experience within KS1 is desirable
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
