Pay Rate: £130–£250 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Experience: Minimum 6 months' teaching experience in a UK primary school

Overview

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to support pupils during a crucial stage of their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor progress and implement interventions where required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
  • Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching experience in a UK primary setting
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong understanding of KS1 curriculum requirements
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
