Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Assess, monitor and evaluate pupil progress accurately
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and raise attainment
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement and attendance
  • Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and school leaders
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider school initiatives
  • Participate fully in school events, meetings and professional development activities


Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and subject knowledge
  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Is committed to continuous professional education and training
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is reflective, motivated and eager to develop professionally
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
