KS1 Teacher - Retford

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic KS1 Teachers to work across primary schools in Retford and the surrounding areas. Opportunities are available for daily supply, short-term cover, long-term positions and permanent roles.

We are looking for full-time and part-time teachers, with flexible working patterns available.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum

Supporting pupils with the development of reading, writing and mathematics

Delivering phonics teaching and supporting early reading development

Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly

Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs

Working effectively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and parents

Following school safeguarding, curriculum and behaviour policies

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or a UK primary school

Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum

Knowledge and experience of phonics and early reading

Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references

Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible

Right to work in the UK

Teachers undertaking short-term or long-term cover bookings are paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale from day one.
