Salary: £41,729 - £64,684 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Contract: Temporary; full-time availability preferred, working pattern to be agreed
Start date: 05/10/2026
Hours: Term time - 8:30 - 3:30 - school day
Transparency Education is recruiting a KS1 Teacher in Lewisham who can turn early reading, writing and maths into engaging classroom learning.
You will support children as they build independence and move towards more structured learning. A clear approach to phonics, practical activities and regular assessment will help you give every pupil the right balance of support and challenge.
Responsibilities
• Plan and teach lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Deliver systematic phonics and develop reading fluency
• Use practical and visual approaches to strengthen number understanding
• Assess progress and plan focused support where needed
• Direct teaching assistants and adapt tasks for SEND and EAL learners
• Maintain positive routines and keep parents informed about learning
Requirements
• UK QTS with relevant Key Stage 1 teaching experience
• Secure knowledge of phonics and early literacy
• Effective planning, assessment and classroom organisation
• A warm teaching style with consistent behaviour expectations
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one.
