KS1 Teaching Assistant - Bamber Bridge

£92.56-£110 per day | Monday-Friday | 8:45am-3:15pm

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Bamber Bridge for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a sports coaching background who is looking to bring their experience, energy and passion for working with children into a school environment. The role would be particularly suited to a sports coach who is interested in developing their experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, including children with additional needs.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils both within the classroom and through targeted 1:1 or small-group activities.

You will be involved in:

• Providing 1:1 support to pupils, helping them engage positively with their learning.
• Supporting children with their social, emotional and academic development.
• Using your sports and coaching skills to encourage confidence, communication, teamwork and positive behaviour.
• Supporting small groups of children with activities and interventions.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Working alongside the class teacher and SEN team to support individual pupils' needs.
• Encouraging children to develop independence and resilience.

The school is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient and confident working with young children.

You may be a Teaching Assistant, sports coach, youth worker, graduate or someone with relevant childcare experience looking to develop a career within education.

Experience working with children is highly desirable, particularly experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis.

Experience supporting children or groups of children with SEN would also be highly desirable, although full training and support will be provided where appropriate.

A background in sports coaching, PE, youth work or similar would be particularly welcomed. The school would love to hear from someone who can use their sporting experience to help children develop their confidence, communication, teamwork and engagement.
