KS1 Teaching Assistant

Overview: Support pupils in Years 1 and 2 as they develop key literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to the teacher
  • Deliver small-group interventions in phonics, reading, and maths
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
  • Assist with classroom preparation and displays

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 months' experience within a primary school setting
  • Understanding of phonics programmes is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
