Key requirements

  • Mandatory UK Experience: Recent, verifiable experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant within a UK primary school classroom (Key Stage 2 experience is essential).

  • Curriculum & Intervention Skills: A solid understanding of the Key Stage 2 UK National Curriculum, with hands-on ability to support literacy, numeracy, and small-group interventions.

  • Safeguarding & Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check through Randstad), plus full right-to-work documentation in the UK.

  • Core Qualities: Excellent behaviour management skills, strong communication, and a proactive attitude toward supporting class teachers and diverse learning needs.
