Location: Bexley, South East London
Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum (M1–UPS3)
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start date: 28 September 2026
An inclusive and ambitious primary school in Bexley is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join its committed teaching team.
The school has a strong focus on developing confident, independent learners through high-quality teaching and a rich curriculum. Leaders are looking for a KS2 Teacher who can combine clear structure and high expectations with warmth, creativity and an understanding of individual pupils’ needs.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class and work closely with colleagues to plan lessons, assess progress and create memorable learning experiences.
Responsibilities
• Planning and delivering purposeful lessons across the KS2 curriculum
• Developing pupils’ knowledge and confidence in English and mathematics
• Providing engaging learning across science, humanities and the wider curriculum
• Using assessment to plan appropriate support and challenge
• Differentiating lessons for pupils with SEND, EAL or gaps in learning
• Creating a positive classroom culture with clear and consistent expectations
• Working effectively with teaching assistants and intervention staff
• Communicating pupils’ progress to parents, carers and school leaders
• Contributing to school events, enrichment activities and curriculum development
• Meeting all professional, safeguarding and assessment responsibilities
Requirements
• UK Qualified Teacher Status
• Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
• A secure understanding of the primary national curriculum
• Strong classroom-management and assessment skills
• The ability to motivate pupils and promote independent learning
• A reflective and collaborative approach
• A commitment to inclusive practice and high standards for every child
