KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Ealing, London
Salary: £90–£100 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Start: September 2026 – immediate/as soon as possible

Teach Now is looking for an enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Ealing for a full-time September opportunity.

Working alongside experienced teaching staff, you will help pupils strengthen their reading, writing and maths skills while supporting confidence, independence and positive classroom behaviour.

This position would suit an experienced TA who enjoys being actively involved in learning rather than simply observing from the side of the classroom.

Key responsibilities
  • Support pupils during KS2 lessons.
  • Lead small-group and intervention activities.
  • Provide targeted support in English and maths.
  • Assist pupils who need additional help accessing the curriculum.
  • Encourage independent learning and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with the teacher to monitor progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting primary-aged pupils.
  • KS2 experience is particularly desirable.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.
  • Good literacy and numeracy.
  • A proactive, organised and encouraging approach.
