Lab & Site Technician

We are seeking a Laboratory and Site Technician based in Warrington to support quality testing and sampling of Colas surfacing products. The role involves lab work and national site visits, providing technical expertise while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Main responsibilities

You will handle and log samples, perform tests on materials, maintain equipment, manage data, and follow strict safety and quality procedures. You will also report unusual results promptly, keep work areas tidy, and represent Colas professionally on site and in the lab.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have at least five GCSEs including Science, English, and Maths, a full driving licence, and a strong attention to detail. Good organisational and communication skills are essential, as is a safety focus. Laboratory experience is favoured but not essential, and you should be comfortable working independently and using computers.
