Hours: 9:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
Contract: ASAP until March 2027

The Role Working within a laboratory setting, you will support day-to-day testing activities by carrying out a range of predefined analytical tests and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Practical aptitude and attention to detail are the most important attributes for success in this role. Previous laboratory experience is beneficial, but individuals with a science qualification and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine analytical tests following predefined laboratory methods and procedures
- Prepare samples and assist with test set-up activities
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation
- Ensure laboratory equipment and workspaces are kept clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
- Follow all quality, safety and laboratory operating procedures
- Support laboratory colleagues with general testing and administrative activities as required
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
- Strong practical aptitude and a hands-on approach to work
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work methodically
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic IT skills for recording test data
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
- A qualification in a science-related subject (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science or similar)
- Experience following standard operating procedures or quality-controlled processes
