Engineering Labourer
About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of our site, assisting the engineering teams and helping to keep the yard and stores safe, tidy and organised.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Moving materials and stock around the site
- Supporting the engineering and fabrication teams with general tasks
- Assisting with stock control, labelling and stock-taking
- Ensuring materials and goods are stored correctly and safely
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Assisting with vehicle and delivery movements in the yard
- Complying with all health and safety procedures
- Carrying out other general duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a labourer or in a yard, warehouse or industrial environment
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Engineering background or forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
