Labourer/Telehandler
Rogers McHugh Recruitment
We are currently recruiting for a Labourer / Telehandler Operator to join a major long-term construction project on behalf of one of our most valued clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual looking for stable, long-term work. The project is in its early stages and continues to develop, meaning there will be a growing workload and increasing responsibilities as the site progresses. Our client is looking for someone who can become a trusted member of the team and contribute positively to the day-to-day running of the site.
The successful candidate will split their time between operating the telehandler and carrying out general labouring duties. This is not a role where you will simply be sitting in a machine all day. You will be expected to assist with site operations, support tradesmen, move materials, help maintain a safe and organised working environment, and generally ensure that work can progress efficiently across the project.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is happy to get involved wherever required, and understands the importance of being dependable on a busy construction site. Our client places a strong emphasis on attitude, work ethic, and reliability. They expect workers to arrive on time, work hard throughout the day, and contribute positively to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating the telehandler safely and efficiently around site.
- Moving and distributing materials to various work areas.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Assisting tradesmen with materials and site logistics.
- Carrying out general labouring duties as required.
- Maintaining site cleanliness and organisation.
- Supporting site management with daily tasks.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
MUST HAVE:
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Licence.
- Previous experience operating a telehandler on construction sites.
- Previous site labouring experience.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
What We're Looking For:
- Hardworking and motivated individuals.
- Reliable and punctual workers who can be counted on.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards on site.
- A team player who can work effectively alongside trades, management, and other site personnel.
