The Business

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Labourer on behalf of a well-established specialist engineering and industrial services company based in Stockton. Our client delivers high-quality services across a range of sectors and is looking to strengthen their team with a reliable and hardworking individual who enjoys a varied role.

 

The Role

As a Labourer, you will play an important role in supporting site operations and ensuring projects run efficiently. This is a hands-on position that will involve working both on-site and travelling to customer locations when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out general labouring duties to support site operations.
  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Performing manual handling tasks in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Removing waste materials and keeping work areas free from hazards.
  • Assisting with deliveries and distributing materials around site.
  • Collecting samples from customer sites, including occasional travel to Glasgow.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Supporting different departments and adapting to a variety of tasks as required.

The Person

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

  • A valid CSCS Card.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • A maximum of 3 penalty points on your driving licence.
  • Eligibility to drive company vehicles for insurance purposes (drivers must be aged 25 or over).
  • Previous experience in a labouring or site-based role.
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices.
  • A positive attitude with the flexibility to work across different sites.
  • The ability to carry out manual handling duties and work as part of a team.
  • A reliable, hardworking approach with excellent timekeeping.
