Laminator Operative – Print Department
We are currently recruiting for a Laminator Operative to join a busy Print Department within a leading book manufacturing company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring laminating machinery used in the production of books. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that would suit someone with previous experience working within a print, production or manufacturing environment, particularly someone who has operated machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring laminating machinery
- Setting up and running machinery to meet production requirements
- Monitoring the production process and ensuring machines are running correctly
- Carrying out regular quality checks on finished products
- Identifying and reporting any issues with machinery or production
- Ensuring products meet the required quality standards
- Working to production targets and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
About You:
- Previous experience within a print, production or manufacturing environment
- Experience operating production machinery is highly desirable
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Previous laminator experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided to the right candidate
Shift Pattern:
- 12-hour shifts
- Sunday – Tuesday
- Wednesday – Friday
- As we move into our busy season, some Saturdays will also be required depending on production requirements.
This is a 12-hour shift role, so candidates must be comfortable working long shifts and being on their feet for extended periods.
