Laser Machine Operator

£24,784 per annum + Overtime Available

Elland Steel Structures is looking for a Machine Operator to join its busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience operating machinery within a steel production environment who is looking to develop their skills with full training provided.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a laser machine within the workshop, alongside supporting other production machinery including the Voortman Saw/Drill and Shot Blaster machines.

This is an operator role only-no machine setting or programming experience is required, as full training will be provided.

• Operating a laser machine within the workshop
• Operating Voortman saw/drill machinery
• Operating shot blasting equipment
• Material handling and movement of steel sections
• Working from production schedules
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

• Previous machine operating experience within a steel production or heavy manufacturing environment
• Experience handling steel or heavy materials would be advantageous
• Good attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working within a busy workshop environment

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Monday - Thursday: 6:45am - 3:15pm
Friday: 6:45am - 11:45am

Regular overtime available throughout the week.
