Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Ringwood area, they are looking for an experienced Production Team Leader to join them as the business continues to expand, they are looking for a motivated individual who wants to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

This is a permanent position working a Late Shift 12:30pm - 10pm Monday to Friday, salary is £32,500 - £34,000 DOE

Duties for the Successful Late Shift Production Team Leader: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the late shift production team while remaining hands-on within the manufacturing operation. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting the production team to achieve daily production targets and operational KPIs.
  • Ensuring production schedules are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Organising workloads and allocating responsibilities across the shift.
  • Monitoring production performance and implementing corrective actions where targets are not achieved.
  • Recording production activity accurately using ERP and Quality Management Systems to maintain full product traceability.
  • Ensuring all production areas, machinery, and equipment are cleaned to the required standards, ready for the following day's production.
  • Promoting a strong food safety culture by ensuring compliance with company procedures, HACCP principles, and BRC Food Safety Standards.
  • Conducting and communicating risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Checking production output against specifications and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Identifying training and development needs within the team and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Encouraging a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence across the shift.
Requirements to be Considered for the Late Shift Production Team Leader Role
  • A minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading production teams across multiple production lines.
  • A strong understanding of food manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working within BRC-accredited manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt production plans to meet changing business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Experience using ERP, production recording, or quality management systems.
