The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit Law & Policing Lecturers to support across their curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established college, with flexibility to suit your availability and the potential to secure longer-term or permanent roles.

Whether you’re an experienced Law Lecturer, Policing Lecturer, or a professional with a background in law enforcement, legal practice, or criminal justice, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll support learners across Law and Policing programmes, helping them develop knowledge of the legal system and careers within the justice sector.

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Law and/or Policing courses (A Level / Access / vocational programmes)

  • Teach topics such as criminal law, legal systems, policing practices, and justice procedures

  • Support learners with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation

  • Link theory to real-world legal and policing contexts

  • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds:

Essential:

  • Experience teaching Law, Policing, or related subjects (e.g. Criminology)

  • Strong subject knowledge

  • Ability to support academic learners

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A flexible and reliable approach

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)

  • Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form

  • Industry experience in legal practice, policing, or criminal justice

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
