LCL Import Logistics Executive
Streamline Services Consultancy Limited
We’re currently recruiting for an LCL Import Logistics Executive to join the imports team of an established freight forwarding and logistics company based in Tilbury.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy operational environment where accuracy, organisation and communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day LCL import shipments from arrival through to delivery
- Monitoring vessel schedules and tracking incoming shipments
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers and depots
- Arranging collections and deliveries in line with customer requirements
- Opening and maintaining internal shipment files
- Preparing customer invoices
- Processing supplier invoices and investigating any discrepancies
- Keeping customers updated throughout the import process
- Ensuring deliveries are organised efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Following up with customers after delivery to ensure a positive service experience
- Identifying any operational issues and resolving them promptly
- Supporting the wider imports team when required
About You
We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience within freight forwarding, ideally gained within a small to medium-sized forwarder.
You must have solid experience handling deep-sea imports, particularly LCL, as this will form the majority of your workload.
Experience with airfreight imports would also be beneficial.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an import operations role within freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of deep-sea import procedures
- LCL import experience
- Good understanding of the wider freight forwarding process
- Experience working with shipping lines, hauliers and depots
