Required Background
- Proven experience delivering analytical products from concept through to business adoption
- Strong consulting mindset with the ability to solve complex business problems using data and analytics
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and translating commercial challenges into analytical solutions
- Track record of owning end-to-end delivery of data, analytics, or insight products
- Experience mentoring colleagues and reviewing technical work
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities
- Experience working within governance, delivery, and software development lifecycle processes
- Strong Python development experience
- Experience building production-grade analytical products and applications
- Git version control
- Azure DevOps or equivalent repository, pipeline, and work management platforms
- Data visualisation and analytics product development
- Experience with analytical application frameworks such as:
- Shiny for Python
- Streamlit
- Dash
- Reporting and analytical tooling including Quarto or similar
- CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
- Docker-based deployment
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling
- Code review, testing, debugging, and software quality best practices
- Experience with:
- R
- Shiny
- Tidyverse
- Scientific or quantitative computing environments
- Experience building reusable frameworks, libraries, and analytical platforms
- Consulting or professional services background
- Experience supporting and scaling analytical products after release
- Knowledge of modern software engineering and analytics delivery practices
- Experience working within distributed or remote teams
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of analytical products from concept to production
- Partner with senior stakeholders to turn business challenges into scalable analytics solutions
- Develop reusable frameworks, components, and development standards
- Build maintainable, configurable, and scalable analytical products
- Contribute to governance, delivery, and development processes
- Support and mentor colleagues through technical leadership and code reviews
- Drive delivery across multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Promote best practices across analytics, product development, and delivery
