Temporary (ongoing work depending on client requirements)

£14–£15 per hour | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week | Overtime available

We Are BX2 are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Assembler to join a well-established UK manufacturing business.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for assembling products and components while providing day-to-day support and guidance to a small team of assemblers.

The Role

  • Assemble products using hand and power tools
  • Work from engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Fit components including hinges, locks, brackets, seals and electrical accessories
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Help coordinate workloads and support the assembly team
  • Train and support new team members
  • Identify and report any quality or production issues
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or production - Essential
  • Experience leading, supporting or mentoring a team
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach

Desirable: Experience with electrical assembly/wiring, metal or fabricated products, or a forklift licence.
