Lead Electronis Engineer

• 6 month initial contract with potential to be ongoing
• Inside IR35
• Rate £59-68p/h based on exp[erience
• Onsite near Maulden
• Full time role but work completed over 4 days per week - every Friday off (5 days worked and paid)

Eligibility for or current SC level security clearance is required and DV a bonus. Can start on basic.

Excellent opportunity for a Lead Electronics Engineer experienced in the design, development and support of mixed electrical / electronic solutions from concept to completion/ manuafcturing.

Design & development experience for manufacturing and for harsh environments is sought ideally.  Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing, background ideal.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design and development of electrical/electronic circuitry (includes, analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques and power electronics).
• Analysis, test and evaluation of electronic/electrical circuits and components.
• Electrical/Electronic circuit simulation and analysis.
• The ability to produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence and test documentation.

Key skills required include:

• Formal Electrical qualification such as HNC/HND/BEng.
• Experience of Electrical Hardware Design & Electrical Product Development for Harsh Environments.
• Electrical analysis of derating, stress and tolerance.
• Experience of software tools (e.g. Zuken, Harnware).
• EMC Awareness at product and circuit level.
• Awareness of Def-Stan/Mil Standards, Safety and Quality processes.
• Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration and Test.
• Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electrical circuits.
• Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tool.
