Lead Engineer (Cloud)

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting a consultancy, who is seeking an Lead Engineer for an initial twelve-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: Hybrid working - London (x3 days per week)

About the role: You will act as the technical lead for one or more delivery teams, helping shape solutions from concept through to deployment and operation.

The ideal candidate will hold Active SC or DV clearance and have a strong background in delivery hands-on engineering & leadership/ coaching support, with the following skills and experience:

• Experience leading engineering teams delivering complex software solutions.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud, or virtualised platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts and secure-by-design approaches.
• Experience with modern development frameworks and software delivery practices.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
