The Role
Working as part of the Gas Centre team you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of staff involved in the delivery, assessment, and quality assurance of ACS programmes. You will oversee ACS learners, ensuring high-quality training, assessment, and support is provided throughout all stages of their qualifications.
You will work closely with learners to plan and undertake workplace assessments, monitor progress, and ensure they are fully supported to successfully achieve their qualifications. Alongside your direct learner responsibilities, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to colleagues, promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across the team.
A key part of the role will involve leading standardisation activities, coordinating the Internal Verification process, and acting as Lead Internal Verifier, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and maintaining consistency and quality across all programmes.
You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider college, contributing to curriculum development, attending regular meetings with college leaders, quality improvement activities, and the promotion, development of gas and heating provision and new technologies courses across the centre. This will include supporting cross-department initiatives, sharing best practice, and helping to ensure the Gas Centre operates effectively within the wider college framework.
What We Are looking for
You must have a relevant Gas accreditation, Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English and be qualified to TAQA (A1, D32, 33). You should also hold a First Aid at Work Certificate or be willing to work towards. You will need to have had experience of working in the Gas industry gained either in a Domestic and Commercial capacity and Experience of working with a caseload of learners. You will also need to have your own transport or the ability to visit sites external to the College in a timely manner.
