We provide industry-leading plant, transport and specialist equipment solutions that support some of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. As our fleet continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Lead Mobile Fitter (Heavy Plant) to provide technical leadership and frontline engineering support across our piling and crane fleet.
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to step into a lead role while remaining hands-on with some of the most technically advanced equipment in the industry.
What your day will look like:
- Lead a small team of Mobile Fitters for heavy plant maintenance.
- Facilitate maintenance activities, breakdown response and resource allocation.
- Carry out diagnosis, repair and commissioning of piling rigs and cranes.
- Support mobilisation, de-mobilisation, rigging and major overhauls.
- Promote fleet reliability, technical standards and engineering best practice.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and compliantly.
- Develop team members through coaching, mentoring and technical support.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and defect reporting.
What we need from you:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Construction Plant Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience maintaining specialist piling rigs and/or crawler cranes.
- Hydraulic, electrical and CANBUS fault-finding capability.
- Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, and statutory inspection requirements.
- Understanding of safety systems and statutory inspections.
- Experience leading teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
