The Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead PPM Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a mobile role carrying out planned preventative maintenance, compliance works and remedial services across client sites. The successful candidate will lead site visits, work alongside assistant engineers and ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and to the required industry standards.
This role would suit someone with experience in fire damper testing, air hygiene, ventilation cleaning, kitchen extract cleaning, TR19 works, fire stopping, fire compartmentation or fire safety remedial works.
Key Responsibilities

Lead planned preventative maintenance and compliance visits across client sites.

Carry out kitchen extract cleaning, ventilation cleaning and ductwork cleaning in line with TR19 and TR19 Grease standards.

Complete annual fire damper drop testing in line with BS9999 standards.

Carry out fire compartmentation, fire stopping or fire safety remedial works where required.

Lead, support and guide assistant engineers while on site.

Identify faults, failed dampers, access issues, non-compliance or remedial requirements.

Complete accurate job reports, photos, paperwork and compliance evidence.

Liaise professionally with clients, site managers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of works.

Maintain high standards of health and safety, PPE use, site cleanliness and workmanship.
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience as a Lead Engineer, PPM Engineer, Fire Damper Engineer, Air Hygiene Engineer, Ventilation Cleaning Engineer, Fire Stopping Engineer or similar.

Experience carrying out planned maintenance, compliance works or remedial services on client sites. Knowledge of TR19, TR19 Grease and/or BS9999 would be highly desirable.

Experience in fire damper testing, ventilation cleaning, kitchen extract cleaning, fire stopping or fire compartmentation.

Ability to lead an assistant engineer and take ownership of job quality on site. Good communication skills when dealing with clients, site contacts and internal teams.

Strong health and safety awareness and a professional approach to site work.

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
Desirable Experience
-
Fire damper drop testing under BS9999 standards.

Air hygiene, ventilation cleaning or kitchen extract cleaning experience under TR19 or TR19 Grease.

Fire stopping, fire compartmentation or passive fire protection experience.
-
Supervisory, lead engineer, mentoring or team leader experience.
-
CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, asbestos awareness, manual handling or first aid training.
