We're looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join a growing team delivering innovative solutions across Defence, Cyber and Intelligence programmes. This is an opportunity to lead the design and development of secure, scalable software systems that support critical national infrastructure.
The Role
As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with customers, product owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You'll play a key role in defining technical strategy, driving architectural decisions and mentoring other engineers.
Skills & Experience
We're interested in candidates with experience in:
- Software development using Java, Python, C++, Go, Rust or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- System architecture and technical leadership.
- Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
- Agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering environments.
- Mentoring and supporting teams to deliver complex software projects.
Security Clearance
You do not need to hold clearance before applying. However, you must be eligible to obtain UK DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance, and support will be provided throughout the clearance process.
