This role is perfect for an experienced band 5 Speech Language Therapist looking for your next leadership opportunity. You will have the opportunity to gain new skills within service delivery and trainee programme.

I'm working with a growing children's charity that provides specialist therapeutic support within schools, helping children and young people develop the communication skills they need to thrive. As part of their continued growth, they're looking for a Lead Speech Language Therapist to oversee service delivery, support the development of future clinicians and help shape the ongoing success of their Speech & Language Therapy service.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior clinician who enjoys combining hands-on clinical work with leadership, service development and mentoring others.



The responsibilities - Lead Speech Language Therapist

You'll divide your time between clinical work and leadership responsibilities, including:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of Speech & Language Therapy services across partner schools.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior clinicians, freshly qualified therapists and student placements.
  • Coordinating trainee programmes and working closely with universities to deliver high-quality placements.
  • Building strong relationships with schools, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Driving service improvement and supporting operational delivery.
  • Delivering specialist Speech & Language Therapy assessments and interventions for children with social communication needs and EHCPs.


You'll be:

  • HCPC registered and a member of the RCSLT.
  • An experienced Speech & Language Therapist with strong paediatric clinical experience.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Confident supervising or mentoring colleagues, or ready to step into a leadership role.
  • Organised, proactive and motivated to develop both people and services
