Lead Teacher (Pre-School Room Leader)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher (Pre-School Room Leader) to join a well-established nursery in Wandsworth.
This is a full-time leadership position within a high-quality Early Years setting and is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner looking to progress into a rewarding leadership role. The nursery offers a unique learning environment with a strong community focus, providing children with engaging experiences that support their development and wellbeing.
You will be:

Leading the day-to-day practice within the pre-school room and delivering high-quality teaching and learning

Managing, mentoring, and supporting a small team to maintain outstanding standards of care and education

Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

Acting as a key person and building positive relationships with children and their families

Monitoring children's progress through observations, assessments, and next-step planning

Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and maintaining full compliance with EYFS requirements

Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support children's individual needs

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the room and contributing to continuous improvement across the nursery
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous experience within a pre-school room, ideally in a senior practitioner or room leader position. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and staff leadership is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required.
