The Supply Register is recruiting for an experienced Learner Data Services (LDS) Manager to support Carlisle College on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong leadership, data management, and further education expertise, who can deliver a high-quality, compliant data service in a fast-paced environment.

As LDS Manager, you will play a key role in leading the Learner Data and Exams teams, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and outstanding service delivery to both staff and learners.

The Role
As Learner Data Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the Learner Data Services and Exams teams
• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of student data and funding returns (ILR)
• Overseeing enrolment, curriculum setup, timetabling, registers, and data processes
• Managing data quality, resolving discrepancies, and implementing data cleansing processes
• Ensuring compliance with funding regulations (DfE, ILR, audit requirements)
• Supporting and overseeing examination processes in line with regulations such as JCQ
• Leading preparation for audits and responding to data-related queries
• Providing leadership, coaching, and development to the LDS team
• Working collaboratively with curriculum and senior leadership teams
• Driving continuous improvement and efficiency in systems and processes

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

✅ Proven experience managing high volumes of data and resolving discrepancies
✅ Strong leadership and line management experience
✅ Experience working within Further Education or an educational setting
✅ Strong knowledge of ILR, funding rules, and data compliance requirements
✅ Advanced IT skills, including Excel and MIS systems (e.g., UNIT-e desirable)
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
✅ Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
✅ Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Desirable:

⭐ Experience with FE MI systems such as UNIT-e
⭐ Knowledge of exam regulations (e.g., JCQ)
⭐ Degree or equivalent experience
