The Learning and Development Assistant will provide day-to-day administration and coordination support to the Learning and Development team, ensuring training administration runs smoothly. While this is primarily an administrative and coordination role, it would suit someone with a genuine interest in Learning and Development and a desire to build their knowledge and experience in this area. We will support the successful candidate’s development within L&D as they grow in the role. 

This role reports to the Senior Leaning and Development Manager and will work closely with the L&D Specialist. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel between Bicester and Woking, when required for team meetings but no more than 1-2 times per month

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate learning events, workshops and programmes including room bookings, communications, attendance tracking and set up requirements. 
  • Be the first line for responding to learning queries and escalate issues where needed. 
  • Maintain accurate learner records, training data, developing and posting content for our Manager Hub (Management information portal), learner completion records and related documentation, and keeps up GDPR responsibilities accordingly 
  • Support the administration of the Learning Management System (Thrive) including events, pathways, learner queries and reporting. 
  • Liaise with suppliers, providers, managers and learners to support smooth delivery of learning activity. 
  • Raise purchase requisitions and purchase orders, support invoice processing and maintain financial administration records. 
  • Provide administration support for apprenticeships, personal development requests and external learning activity. 

What You'll Bring

Essential Criteria: 

  • Previous administration, coordination or team support experience. 
  • High attention to detail and accurate record keeping. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems. 
  • Professional, discreet and helpful when dealing with learners, managers, suppliers and colleagues. 
  • Able to collate and present learning data and insights (e.g., attendance, completions and feedback) to support evaluation of learning effectiveness
