Learning Support Assistant / SEND Key Worker
Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young learners?
At Crossley Heath we are committed to providing an exceptional and inclusive education for all our students. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Level 3 Learning Support Assistant/SEND Key Worker to join our dynamic support team. You will work closely with our teaching staff and Special Educational Needs (SEN) team to deliver targeted interventions, support students with diverse learning needs, and foster a positive, engaging learning environment. A background in supporting students with autism in a secondary school setting is essential.
You must have a genuine liking for young people and must be able to establish good relationships with the young people in your care. You will be working with a small number of high needs students in the school who can find the mainstream environment challenging. Patience, understanding and good communication skills are essential along with confidence in speaking with students, staff, parents and external agencies. Building positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers is also a key part of the role.
This is a perfect opportunity to work within an extremely successful school and make a significant contribution to supporting young people to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Crossley Heath is a very popular school which achieves excellent outcomes for our young people. We are proud of the dedicated support we provide to young people with AEN/SEN and hope you will be able to help us develop our expertise even further.
The closing date for applications is 8.00 am on Monday 22 June 2026. Interviews to be held on Monday 29 June 2026.
We are committed to safeguarding children in all aspects of recruitment and selection. The appointment will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
