Hays Education are recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist educational setting in Coventry. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

Whether you have experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or Youth Worker, we would love to hear from you.

Your new role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist students with classroom activities and communication
• Promote independence, confidence and social development
• Support positive behaviour strategies
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs
• A caring, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with SEND
• Previous experience in education, care or support work is desirable
