This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties and may face barriers to learning.

Previous experience working in an SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour setting would be beneficial but is not essential. Helping pupils manage challenging situations through calm, consistent and positive approaches.
Establishing clear boundaries and maintaining high expectations for behaviour.
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may struggle to engage with learning.
Supporting emotional development, independence, confidence and social skills.
Encouraging participation in classroom activities and educational tasks.
Working closely with teachers to implement individual support strategies.
Responding professionally to challenging behaviour while maintaining a safe learning environment.
Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and behaviour management strategies.
What We Are Looking For

A calm, patient and consistent approach when dealing with challenging behaviour.
Confidence in setting boundaries and maintaining appropriate expectations.
The ability to build positive relationships while remaining professional and assertive when necessary.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A fair, supportive and adaptable attitude.
Reliability, commitment and a willingness to learn.
A genuine passion for helping vulnerable children and young people overcome barriers to learning.
Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
Previous SEN or SEMH experience is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong resilience, a positive attitude and the ability to remain composed under pressure. Full training and guidance on the role and school expectations can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Aspiring teachers or individuals interested in a career in education.
Teaching assistants or learning support assistants.
Youth workers, support workers or residential care staff.
Candidates with experience supporting children or young people in challenging circumstances.

Competitive daily pay of £95-£105.
