Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Sunderland area. This is a full-time, ongoing position, offering an immediate start for the right candidate.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students across a range of subjects, providing general classroom support and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and resources
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students to remain focused
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Have experience working with young people, preferably within an educational setting
- Be patient, approachable and enthusiastic
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Be passionate about helping young people succeed
